Operational OutcomeThe Client
Nile Agro Product Limited — Nigeria's premium agricultural products provider serving local and international markets
Nile Agro Product Limited is a leading Nigerian provider of premium agricultural products, committed to excellence and sustainability while serving local and international markets. The company bridges the gap between agricultural producers and consumers, leveraging an extensive network of farmers and commercial partners to deliver high-quality products that meet the diverse requirements of multiple industries and export destinations.
Its comprehensive product portfolio spans fresh fruits, livestock, dairy, vegetables, and grains — a breadth that creates significant internal complexity in pricing, margin management, and market prioritisation. Different product lines serve different markets (local wholesale, institutional buyers, export partners), and carry fundamentally different margin profiles. Managing a data infrastructure capable of handling this complexity in all its nuance — which the Delovox engagement, Nile Agro did not have.
The Challenge
When every department has a different version of the truth — nobody has the truth
Nile Agro's challenge was not a shortage of data — it was a surplus of conflicting information. Core operational information across sales, finance, inventory, and procurement lived with no integration. When each department aggregated that data manually for reporting, the resulting differences in departmental reports created internal friction — not because departments were wrong, but because they were working from a different subset of a whole picture.
The resulting differences in departmental reports created management's trust in the data, creating internal friction. Furthermore, the existing dashboards were visually unaligned across teams and lacked the interactivity and context required for effective, quick decision-making.
Data aggregation was entirely manual and time-consuming
Analysts from each department spent significant time every reporting cycle pulling, cleaning, and combining data from unrelated databases — producing numbers that still couldn't be compared across departments because the underlying sources were different.
Management trust in data had collapsed
When the same business figure produced three different numbers from three different departments, leadership stopped trusting the data — which defaulted judgement, experience, and hierarchy over evidence, negating the intended benefit of having data at all.
Dashboards were visually unaligned and non-interactive
Each team had built reporting in isolation — different visual styles, different metric definitions, different drill-down capabilities. Presenting a unified view to management required yet another manual consolidation step, delaying the reporting cycle and introducing inconsistency.
High-margin segments were invisible
Without a cross-functional view of revenue, margin, inventory levels and fulfilment by product category and market segment, it was impossible to identify which parts of the portfolio were generating disproportionate value — and equally impossible to reallocate commercial focus toward them.
The Goal
One source of truth — and the revenue intelligence to act on what it reveals
Nile Agro's primary objective was to transition to a truly data-driven decision-making model capable of optimising revenue performance. This required a robust data infrastructure delivering high-speed data processing, and interactive BI dashboards that gave management and commercial teams trustworthy insight into market dynamics, inventory levels, and pricing opportunities.
Critically, the solution needed to be accessible to non-technical staff — not just analysts. If data infrastructure only reaches the people who built it, the organisation's decision-making capability does not actually change. The goal was organisation-wide intelligence, not department-level reporting.
The Solution
From many versions of the truth to one — a centralised BI platform with aligned, interactive dashboards
Delovox implemented a centralised data infrastructure and foundational Business Intelligence solution that integrated all of Nile Agro's previously disconnected operational systems into a single, coherent view — establishing a single source of truth for the organisation without which the organisation had been operating without.
Single Source of Truth
All core operational systems — sales, finance, inventory, procurement — integrated into a single centralised platform. One set of numbers for the entire organisation, ending the departmental data disputes permanently.
Automated Data Aggregation
Manual reporting processes replaced end-to-end with automated data aggregation and pipelines. Reports that previously took days now generate in near real time — with built-in quality checks that the manual process could never guarantee.
Aligned Interactive Dashboards
Visually consistent, interactive BI dashboards deployed across all teams — replacing the siloed, non-interactive reports each team had built in isolation. Every team now works from the same visual framework and the same data source.
Revenue & Margin Intelligence Layer
KPI visualisation designed with the context required for effective decisions — market dynamics, inventory levels, pricing opportunities and margin-level visibility surfaced in one place. The layer that made the 15% revenue growth possible.
The Result
99% data trust. 15% revenue growth. An organisation that is truly agile, aligned, and insight-driven.
Since implementing the new data architecture, confidence in business data has completely transformed. The organisation now operates with 99% data trust across teams — internal disputes over performance figures have disappeared, and reports that once took days are now generated in near real time.
Even non-technical team members can now easily access and analyse data, enabling faster, data-driven decisions across sales and operations. The results speak for themselves: a 15% increase in quarterly net revenue, driven by the ability to quickly identify and reallocate focus to high-margin market segments.
This was the most immediate consequence of establishing the single source of truth: the question "which numbers are correct?" was eliminated from every meeting — because there is now one set of numbers, and everyone knows where they come from.
Across a five-product portfolio (fresh fruits, livestock, dairy, vegetables, grains) serving both local and international markets, some segments dramatically outperform others. Without a unified view of margin across product and channel, commercial focus defaulted to volume rather than value. The BI platform changed that — producing the 15% quarterly revenue improvement.
The ability for a sales manager, logistics coordinator, or procurement officer to independently access and explore data — without routing every question through an analyst — changes the pace at which decisions can be made at every level of the organisation. This is what the Managing Director means by "truly agile."
The Managing Director's framing — "our confidence in business data has completely transformed" — names something that doesn't appear in any other case study: internal, organisational confidence, not just a customer-facing metric. When leadership trusts their data, they make better decisions faster. When leadership doesn't, they default to politics.
